To get to Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park take US Highway 50 to Austin, west of Austin head south on Nevada Highway 722 to Nevada Highway 21. Remain on 21 until you reach Nevada Highway 844. A short distance southwest on Nevada highway 844 takes you to the site. Berlin Nevada is a mining ghost town built in late 1800s. In 1928 the first fossils were discovered at the site. By the 1960s fossil remains of 40 Ichthyosaurs had been identified.

Berlin Townsite Tour: Self-guided

Fossil House Tour: The Fossil House tour is 40 minutes and is available Memorial Day through Labor Day daily at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., with a noon tour added on Saturdays and Sundays. From the third Saturday in March to Memorial Day, and from Labor Day to the second Sunday in November, Saturday and Sunday times are at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Diana Mine Tour: The mine tours are available May 1 through September 30 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Reservations are required and participants must be at least 6 years of age or older to attend the tour.
