Every year thousands of little rubber duckies are adopted by supporters of the museum and then dumped into the Humboldt River, where they race to the finish line. The quickest duck wins its adopter $1,500 cash and all the pride and prestige that come with sweet victory.
Ducks will be dumped from 12th Street bridge at 9 am. Finish line is at 9th Street bridge.
