Silver State International Rodeo – Winnemucca, NV
The Silver State International Rodeo will be held in Winnemucca, NV from 6/30/22 - 7/7/22. For more information contact Kathy Gonzalez at 775-217-2810 or silverstate10@yahoo.com or visit our website at ssir.us. The SSIR is open to contestants who finish 5th - 25th in their State or Provincial finals for the year. Contestants who qualify may pick up one extra event, provided they will not be competing in that event at the National High School Rodeo Finals.

Elko Basque Festival
The National Elko Basque festival began with a celebration that brought sheepherders and cattle ranchers into town for a day of celebration. The festival became a two-day event in 1964, now known as the National Basque Festival. The weekend festivities were scheduled around the 4th of July weekend, to celebrate with this great Country and to thank them for accepting Basques and their heritage so freely. The Great Reno Balloon Race
The Great Reno Balloon Race is the world’s largest free hot-air ballooning event. Human powered bicycle speed racing is a most unlikely spectator sport, and watching it isn’t easy. The instructions for spectators spell out the difficulties: limited parking and no services. Heats are conducted early each morning and late each afternoon of race week, with short intervals during the active periods to let the highway traffic through.
