Eureka Opera HouseMany of Eureka’s buildings are impressive but its architectural Jewel is the beautifully restored Eureka Opera House in the center of town. Built in the fall of 1880 on the smoldering site of the burnt down odd Fellows Hall, its Grand Opening was celebrated with a New Years Eve gala masquerade ball.

The Opera House now serves as a venue for weddings and family celebrations and community events of various kinds. In addition to performances by nationally recognized artists, the Opera House is the venue small conventions from around the state. It also serves as a Cultural Arts Center, with a permanent fine arts collection open to visitors during normal business hours.
