2012_Nevada Attraction of the YearThe Nevada Northern Railway Museum is a historic passenger railroad featuring train rides pulled by century-old steam engines. This registered National Historic Landmark consists of the original railway locomotives, rolling stock, track, passenger station, and buildings that served the historic copper mining region of Central Nevada for over a century.

Track for the Nevada Northern Railway was laid over a century ago, connecting one of the largest copper mines in North America to the transcontinental route to the north. Several of the original steam locomotives delivered new to the railroad over a century ago are still in operation. It is the best-preserved standard-gauge short-line in North America.

Come experience a 90-minute excursion back into the early 20th century: take the train. Walk around and throughout the 1906 maintenance shops and train yard, even run a locomotive. Take photographs, have fun and gather memories with us.
